3 games not to be missed in May

3 games not to be missed in May

The pace is starting to pick up in the video game industry. While at the beginning of the year we had very few specific release dates for 2024, everything is starting to take shape. Studios already have only 7 months left to reveal information about their next babies, otherwise it will be a date next year. A lot of news should hit us between now and June, but in the meantime we won't be twiddling our thumbs - well, only if they are on a joystick.

In May, some nuggets are patiently waiting for us. If you have lost track of the upcoming releases, here is a quick summary of the 3 games that you should not miss this month at the risk of losing your life (it is not true, but you risk being very bored). If this selection does not please you, keep in mind that a good old Super Smash Bros or the remastered trilogy of Tomb Raider is also good to keep you busy.

Little Kitty, Big City

The feline simulator is scheduled in just a few days! On May 9, you can take part in incredible adventures, playing as a kitten who arrives in a big city. He can explore, annoy, but also hunt. The goal is to do everything you like in this simulation game that is as cute as it is customizable. Nintendo recently revealed some gameplay that makes our mouths water.

At first glance, it doesn't look like much, but the endless possibilities of activities promise us intense, funny and relaxing gaming sessions. The challenge doesn't seem to be there with this opus that mainly puts fun first. It is at find on Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC.

The Rogue Prince of Persia

This is the good surprise of last month. Ubisoft announced the arrival of a Prince of Persia game in a rogue-like style. It is developed by Evil Empire, the studio behind the highly acclaimed Dead Cells. The first images show a game that is both fast-paced and colorful and will not hold back its players. The title is coming to Early Access on May 14 on PC, so we can't wait to see what it has in store. The bar has been set quite high since the release of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which we thoroughly enjoyed, but which is part of a completely different genre despite its 2D and platforming.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

We're not usually big on remasters and remakes, but this one is definitely worth a look. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has been getting a second wind since its release on the GameCube in 2004. It's clear that there's enthusiasm among fans and new players alike. Paper Mario is a franchise that draws all its charm from its 2D graphics and its narrative universe richer than any other Mario game. It is obviously available on Nintendo Switch from May 23.
