All these games announced by Xbox also arrive on PlayStation

Yes, the Xbox Summer Game Fest conference was the best, simply because it contained countless (30) video game gems. While most of them revealed their gameplay or announced their arrival at this event, not all of the games will be Xbox exclusives. Microsoft did indeed get the first look at the announcements, but not at the availability.

Many of them will therefore also be available on competing consoles, particularly the PS5. Among the entire list, here are the games that you can find on PlayStation in simultaneous release.

  • Call of Duty Black Ops 6
  • Doom The Dark Ages
  • Dragon Age The Veil Guard
  • Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Wuchang Fallen Feathers
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
  • Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
  • Atomfall
  • Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
  • Mecha Break

The most important titles for gamers are obviously those with multiplayer scope. PS5 users knew that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 would be available on the console after the Activision Blizzard acquisition, which was not very reassuring. The franchise should continue to be accessible on all platforms for at least 10 years.

This is also the case for all partner games, which do not come from Xbox internal studios. Assassin's Creed Shadows, developed by Ubisoft, will be offered a cross-platform release and this is also the case for Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, developed by Square Enix.

Xbox is doubling down on exclusives

While the company has been opening up more to competitors lately, that doesn't mean it's going to let all its exclusives slip away. The main games (and online multiplayer) will almost always be released on PlayStation and/or Nintendo in order to generate more revenue and increase its in-game player base, but Xbox has a few tricks up its sleeve that should attract players to its consoles, or at least to its games-on-demand service.

We're thinking of all adventure and RPG titles such as Fable, Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, Avowed or Gears of War E-Day. For some of the franchises, they are historically linked to the creation of Xbox and therefore cannot land elsewhere for the moment. For others, it is about securing the most attractive single-player games that are a real added value for players and the studio. As much as the small indie games that make up the DNA of the brand and which add much more content in the long term, in particular thanks to the ID@Xbox program.
