See you on February 6th with the Zenfone 12 Ultra
In case you were wondering if Asus would indeed offer a 12 version of its Zenfone Ultra, rest assured already: the company published the message below on the social network X last weekend.
The text is unequivocal: “1, 2, 3… Action! The Zenfone 12 Ultra unlocks the power of AI, so prepare to enter a new era of excellence in mobile photography! Stay tuned for the ultimate update on February 6th at 2:30 PM (GMT+8)”. As for the illustration photo, it confirms the upcoming arrival of this smartphone, and also shows a focus locked on the main subject (the young woman, and not her dog) during a 4K video recording.
The Zenfone 11 Ultra has been delighting its users since March 2024. Its successor will therefore arrive the next month. The publication does not reveal anything about the smartphone's specifications. Based on previous leaks, the Zenfone 12 Ultra will nevertheless remain an XXL model, in line with its ancestor (which measures 7.7 cm wide and 16.4 cm long).
The specifications of the ROG Phone 9?
We will be notified of the official specifications of the Zenfone 12 Ultra in less than a month, but we can already guess them without difficulty and with a certain amount of confidence. Indeed, just as the ZenFone 11 Ultra is a copy of the ROG Phone 8, the 12 will in principle be that of the ROG Phone 9. Like the latter, it will therefore have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor (the latest iteration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen X series that Qualcomm has renamed for the occasion).
Add to that up to 512 GB of storage and 16 GB of RAM, a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, a 5800 mAh battery, a smartphone with 50 / 13 / 5 MP sensors (main, ultra-wide angle and macro), still IP68 certified and running on Android 15, and you have all the ingredients of a high-end model which, if it risks suffering from the slight lack of personality of its direct ancestor, should retain the good value for money of the latter.
