The millions of Elden Ring fans were able to put their Shineless costume back on in June 2024 thanks to the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. A particularly dense and above all very difficult adventure whose merciless final boss traumatized more than one player.
Would you like another dose of Elden Ring? That's good timing, because FromSoftware revealed the multiplayer spin-off Elden Ring: Nightreign at The Game Awards 2024. If you want to test this new game scheduled for 2025 before its release, there is a way to do so: sign up for the network test.
Here's how to play Elden Ring Nightreign coming to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox in February
You can sign up for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test starting January 10 on Bandai Namco's official website. “The Elden Ring Nightreign network test is a preliminary verification phase that will allow participants to discover part of this new adventure before the full game is released. This large-scale network test is designed to evaluate several aspects of the online game, its performance, and its features. In-game content will be limited to: this Network Test version and some texts or features may be modified in the final game", indicates the Japanese publisher.
To participate, you just need to create a Bandai Namco account or log in and enter some personal information including the platform of your choice. The test takes place on all media, namely on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and Xbox One. Bandai Namco specifies that the servers will be open on five different slots:
- February 14 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- February 15 from 4 a.m. to 7:00 AM
- February 15th from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- February 16th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- February 17th from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM
You will be contacted by email if you are lucky enough to be among the participants. Remember that Elden Ring Nightreign is an adventure focused on multiplayer. You can form a team of three to embark on your quest to defeat the Night King.
This spin-off has a roguelike dimension since you must survive a three-day cycle during which you can explore the world and face bosses like in Elden Ring. “Players will choose from eight unique characters, each with their own unique abilities and powerful techniques. Their journeys will take them to Limveld, where they will have to make quick but thoughtful decisions, pursued by the Night Rain reducing the safe areas of the map by the second,” indicate Bandai Namco and FromSoftware.
Each cycle will conclude against the terrible Night Lord. You will be able to count on one of the eight unique characters to try to defeat him. Note that the enemies, the rewards and Limveld himself will change with each of your sessions in order to renew your experience. Note that Elden Ring Nightreign will be playable solo or in three players, but not two. See you in 2025 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
