Google Pixel 11 and Pixel 10A: new amazing details are surface

Google Pixel 11 and Pixel 10A: new amazing details are surface

While eyes are turning to the Pixel 9a and Pixel 10, expected in 2025, Google is already planning its strategy for 2026. The Pixel 11 series is already said to have codenames that evoke bear names. The smartphones could also benefit from the second generation of Tensor chips designed in-house. At the same time, the Pixel 10a could mark a break in the range with a less advanced processor to reduce costs.

Four models for the Pixel 11

According to Android Authority, Pixel smartphones would continue a tradition of thematic codenames. After horses for the Pixel 10, the Pixel 11 series could adopt codenames inspired by bears. Here are the models mentioned for 2026:

  • Pixel 11: “cubs” (4CS4)
  • Pixel 11 Pro: “grizzly” (CGY4)
  • Pixel 11 Pro XL: “kodiak” (PKK4)
  • Pixel 11 Pro Fold: “yogi” (9YI4)

All of these devices could use the Tensor G6 chip, designed entirely by Google and codenamed “malibu”. Their release would be scheduled for the second half of 2026. The presence of a foldable version and an XL model in the Pro range would confirm the diversification of the premium offer started with the previous series.

A Tensor G4 chip for the Google Pixel 10a?

Although the Pixel 10a is only in early development, internal discussions at Google would suggest a notable change. Contrary to the usual strategy, the smartphone could keep the Tensor G4, already expected on the Pixel 9a, rather than adopting the Tensor G5 of the Google Pixel 10, more powerful.

This choice could be explained by economic reasons. With a size of 121 mm², the Tensor G5 would prove more expensive to produce, which would limit Google's ability to maintain competitive prices for its mid-range smartphone. However, this compromise could reduce some features of the Pixel 10a, particularly in terms of artificial intelligence and photography, key points of the future Pixel 10.

Finally, this strategy would be part of a trend started by the Pixel 9a, which already integrated components different from those of the premium models. If this direction is confirmed, it could redefine user expectations for Google's "a" range.
