The Google Pixel 9a continues to be talked about before its official launch. After leaks revealing its price in dollars and its release date, more precise information for Europe has just been shared.
What is the release date for the Google Pixel 9a in Europe?
According to the latest indiscretions obtained by Dealabs, the Google Pixel 9a would be available in Europe from March 26, 2025, the same release date as on the American market. A pre-order period is expected to begin a week earlier, on March 19, 2025. This simultaneous launch strategy shows that Google wants to avoid gaps between regions, as has been the case with some previous models.
On the aesthetic side, four colors would be offered for the 128 GB version: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peony. On the other hand, for the 256 GB version, only the Obsidian and Iris colors would be available in Europe.
Price increases for the 256 GB version?
Concerning the prices, the pricing grid would follow the trend already mentioned for the American market. Thus, the 128 GB model will be marketed at 549 euros, the same price as the Pixel 8a at its launch. On the other hand, the 256 GB version will cost 649 euros, compared to 609 euros for the 8a with the same storage capacity, or 40 euros more. This variant would also be more expensive in the United States, with a price announced at 649 dollars.
On the technical side, the Pixel 9a should include the Tensor G4 processor, already used on the Pixel 9 models, as well as a 5100 mAh battery. The main photo sensor would also benefit from a notable update, going from 64 Mpx to 48 Mpx, but with larger photosites, which could significantly improve the quality of the photos.
If pre-order or trade-in offers are planned, they have not yet been revealed. Google could announce them closer to the official launch of its Pixel 9a, which seems closer than ever. If this model follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, it has every chance of joining our buying guide for the best smartphones under 500 euros.
