At the end of 2023, the Nintendo Switch is not to be outdone. Following the excellent Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the fun Wario Ware: Move It! the console is preparing to receive the remake of Super Mario RPG, originally released on Super NES in 1996. Thus, the famous Nintendo Direct formula has also been exported to the benefit of these small productions, giving rise to the famous Nintendo Indie World. These live presentations usually have their share of surprises and are just as surprising as the Lives they are inspired by. This Tuesday, November 14, the manufacturer did us the honor of broadcasting 20 minutes of unpublished trailers. On the program, a bunch of announcements not to be missed, including the most memorable ones.
Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution
The presentation started off in style with the return of a title that we thought had been forgotten. The Gameboy Advance adventure of Shantae, abandoned in the early 2000s, has finally been completed. Twenty-two years after its initial development, Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution has reunited with its original creative team to give itself a much-deserved official release. This retro adventure also features a local battle mode playable by up to 4 players. Release planned for 2024.
Core Keeper
Halfway between Stardew Valley and a rogue-like, Core Keeper invites players to explore infinite, procedurally generated caverns. It will be possible to establish a base, take part in agriculture and improve your character's skills and equipment ahead of upcoming battles. Because if this underground world is conducive to harvesting resources, it is also inhabited by dangerous creatures. It will be possible to enjoy the experience with up to eight players online when the title is released in summer 2024.
On Your Tail
The Italian developers at Memorable Games have infused their memories of seaside holidays into an experience unique video game. Between life simulation and investigation game, On Your Tail offers to discover the peaceful coastal village of Borgo Marina. Fishing, swimming or playing on the beach, the player is free to spend his summer as he wishes. However, a mysterious entity begins to worry the locals, and it is the protagonist's duty to elucidate this strange situation. When released in 2024, On Your Tail will be a temporary console exclusive on Nintendo Switch.
A Highland Song
The developers of this new gem were inspired by their adventures in nature to produce A Highland Song. This multifaceted title draws inspiration from narrative, platform and rhythm games for an adventure like no other. For this epic in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the title hopes to emulate the duality of the beauty and danger of this region through a memorable video game journey. To achieve her goal, the young protagonist will be able to take different paths that will influence the unfolding of the narrative and its conclusion. The appointment is set for December 5th.

This presentation was also an opportunity to learn about the upcoming arrival of renowned independent titles on Nintendo Switch. Note the release of Moonstone Island as a temporary console exclusive in spring 2024, as well as the re-release of the Xbox Live Arcade classic Braid in an Anniversary Edition scheduled for April 30, 2024. Fans of Annapurna productions will also be delighted to learn of the release of The Outer Wilds Archaeologist Edition, including the DLC Echoes of the Eye, on December 7 before being accompanied by a physical edition in 2024.
