Although the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed in all its forms on January 16, there are still many mysteries to be discovered. Among all the questions that remain, we note the three major points that the company could address during the special Nintendo Direct on April 2. These are essential subjects regarding the interest of the Nintendo Switch 2 for users.
How does the Nintendo Switch 2 perform?
Everything we know about the technical specifications of the Nintendo Switch 2 comes from rumors. The console presentation focused on the visual part and the ergonomics of the machine, voluntarily leaving aside everything related to performance. According to the discussions in closed doors, the Nintendo Switch 2 would have a power similar to Sony's PS4 Pro. But that does not answer all the subsidiary questions that can legitimately be asked.
We know that the screen will be much larger than that of the original Switch, but will it have a resolution higher than 720p? And the same question arises at about the Switch 2's new dock that may or may not support 4K streaming. This seems unlikely, but it's also possible that Nintendo will incorporate new tech features, such as ray tracing.
What is the new button for?
There's one mystery that Nintendo hasn't yet solved following its January 16th reveal. Many rumors claimed a few days before, after the CES leak, that the Switch 2 would have a new button on the Joy-Con. Named "C", it would allow access to a brand new social hub if we are to believe the rumors on Reddit. Although present on the model that was presented to us in the trailer, the usefulness of the button was not explained.
The hypothesis of the camera is no longer current, since no sensor has been revealed by the manufacturer on the front or back of the console. The question that burns our tongues is the following: this button “C” will it be a revolution or a blip?
What is the price of the Nintendo Switch 2?
Besides performance, this is probably THE question that everyone has been asking for a while. The Nintendo Switch 2 is shaping up to be the turning point of a new generation for Nintendo. Although the design of its machine, as well as its name, are in line with the previous generation, the goal is still to initiate significant changes to the substance of the product to justify starting a new cycle.
It goes without saying that the price range will be revised to the increase, as is the case with every generational change. For the moment, absolutely no concrete clue can put us on the trail of the real price of the Nintendo Switch 2. We know little yet and already affirm that the console will be more expensive than the Switch OLED displayed at the price of 349.99 euros. Realistically, we can suggest a price between 400 euros and 500 euros.
