One UI 7 (Android 15): Samsung confirms the imminent arrival of the stable version

The Galaxy S25 series, expected this Wednesday, January 22, should mark the debut of One UI 7, the new user interface from Samsung. After several months of beta testing, the company confirms that this major update, associated with Android 15, will gradually be rolled out to other Galaxy devices in the following months.

One UI 7, a redesigned interface with Android 15

Samsung has just confirmed that One UI 7, based on Android 15, will be available soon. It should likely accompany the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. Contrary to some rumors, this update will not include version 7.1 but will offer new features upon its release. The company says feedback from beta users played a key role in optimizing this release.

In recent months, the beta program has focused exclusively on the Galaxy S24 series in select markets. This targeted approach appears to have paid off, with the number of participants doubling compared to the previous beta. Three major betas were enough to stabilize the interface, allowing Samsung to roll out this update as soon as its next high-end smartphones launch.

New features and gradual rollout

Users who have tested One UI 7 are highlighting additions like the “Now Bar” feature, which displays dynamic information on the lock screen based on the app currently in use. Although currently limited to Samsung apps, this feature should extend to third-party tools in the final version.

If the latest leaks are to be believed, other improvements, such as an activity summary and better nighttime videos, would also enrich the user experience. After the launch of the Galaxy S25, Samsung plans a gradual rollout of One UI 7 on its existing devices. Enough to maintain consistency in its ecosystem while meeting the expectations of its most loyal users.
