PlayStation Plus: 13 games offered in May including Red Dead Redemption 2!

May is a month full of holidays. It's a chance to rest and find time to start new projects. Why not a video game? To keep you busy, Sony has revealed its list of games offered as part of its PlayStation Plus subscription. In a few days, players will be able to get 13 games in addition to the 4 monthly ones. And what titles! Most of them are very popular franchises, so the company is ensuring a loyal audience. Here's what's in store for you starting May 21 at 11am.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium

A new batch of games is coming to PlayStation Plus special subscribers. As usual, Sony is adding more than ten titles, available for download or streaming via its catalog. This month, however, is quite special since subscribers will be able to (re)discover one of the best games in the world: Red Dead Redemption 2. It will be available alongside the Cat Quest installments, or the first Watch Dogs.

Monthly PS Plus (all subscriptions): a ball, two swords and a DLC

To start, Sony is adding EA's latest football title to the monthly catalog. FC 24 replaces FIFA for the first time, and it is clear that this opus is a victory over the franchise's name change. The players were there and the studio doubled its efforts to make this first edition an original work.

If you appreciate action more, we can only recommend Ghostrunner 2. A faithful sequel to the first game, this is the opus that opens the doors of the tower to the protagonist. He finds a motorcycle along the way and goes all out to destroy his enemies. The timing is still tight, which has the gift of increasing the challenge of the game.

In a slightly more sedate style, PS Plus welcomes Tunic. This Zelda-like is inspired by the first adventure games to share its cryptic story with us. We play as a fox equipped with a sword who runs after his objective in a world that reveals its secrets little by little. We love his mystery, although he tends to lose us from time to time.

Finally, Sony is still faithful to the post when it comes to Destiny 2. The game from the Bungie studio, which belongs to PlayStation, offers subscribers the latest DLC called Eclipse. This is not the first time that the title's expansions have been given to players, although you must own the base game to enjoy them. If this is still not the case, know that it is accessible for free via the PlayStation Store.

How to enjoy these games?

As a reminder, the PlayStation Plus Essential is a subscription service offered by Sony on its consoles giving you access to free downloadable games each month, often three or four in number, and allows you to play online on multiplayer games. The basic subscription is available at the price of €8.99 per month, €24.99 per quarter or €71.99 per year.

The Extra (400 PS4/PS5 games) or Premium (700 PS/PS2/PS3/PS4/PS5 games, streaming on PC, free trials) packages are priced at €13.99 per month / €39.99 per quarter / €125.99 per year for the Extra package or €16.99 per month / €49.99 per quarter / €151.99 per year for the Premium package. If you're still not sure which one to choose, refer to our complete guide.
