Razer upgrades his Blade 16, even more powerful, always finer

Each new version of the Razer Blade 16 is an opportunity for the manufacturer to integrate the new graphics cards and processors available, and this 2025 vintage is no exception. This year, we are therefore entitled to the best of what was announced at CES, namely a graphics card from NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 Series range and an AMD Ryzen AI 9 processor.

Super-powerful components, an even thinner chassis

The engineers took the opportunity to improve the design of the machine a little more: announced as “up to 32% thinner compared to the previous generation” with a thickness of 14.9 mm at the trackpad (the thinnest point), this Blade 16 still has a robust unibody chassis, made of anodized aluminum. With its 0.2 ms refresh rate, the 16-inch OLED QHD+ (2560×1600 pixels) 240 Hz screen that appeared on the Blade 16 2024 edition is still there and does not seem to have been modified. We should therefore find the VESA ClearMR 11 and DisplayHDR True Black 50 certifications. The keyboard, on the other hand, benefits from keys with an improved activation travel of 1.5 mm to make typing more pleasant.

This 2025 version of the Blade 16 from Razer is equipped with super-powerful components, going up to the RTX 5090 laptop on the graphics card side, and up to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 from AMD on the processor side, all accompanied by 64 GB – maximum – of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. A custom vapor chamber cooling system is integrated; it's needed to cool all these power-hungry components. On paper, the Razer Blade 16's beefy configuration should therefore suit any gamer.

Even if Razer doesn't indicate it, WiFi 7 and USB 4 should of course still be included. Finally, while last year's Blade 16 had four speakers (2 tweeters and 2 woofers), this new version benefits from an improved system with six speakers, all still THX Spatial Audio certified.

The manufacturer has not yet indicated a price for this new gaming laptop expected in the first quarter of 2025, but we can expect our wallet to suffer just as much: an entry ticket at least similar to the 3,500 euros of last year's Blade 16 is not impossible, and the bill will probably approach 6,000 euros for the most powerful model.
