Last year, Samsung devoted the final seconds of its Galaxy S24 presentation event to the Galaxy Ring connected ring. There wasn't much additional information, except for a visual. But this "one more thing" had managed to electrify a rather dull Unpacked. In 2025, here we go again! But not with a connected ring: the manufacturer has lifted a tiny corner of the veil on the Galaxy S25 Edge, in other words the "slim" model in the range.
Ultra thin, but will it do the maximum?
Unfortunately for Samsung, the rumors went much further than the fleeting images of the Unpacked presentation! Very credible 3D renders have been shared online, announcing a smartphone with a thickness of around 6.4mm, in a design similar to that of the other Galaxy S25.
The spec sheet also announces a Snapdragon 8 Elite (probably the same “Galaxy optimized” version as the S25), 12GB of RAM, a 4700mAh battery, and a 12MP camera. three sensors: 200 mpx wide angle, a 50 mpx ultra wide angle and a 50 mpx telephoto lens, a system that inevitably recalls that of the other Galaxy S25 models.
Samsung has therefore made do with little this evening, but we should know more officially about this Galaxy S25 Edge very soon. It is rumored that the marketing will take place in May, at a lower price than the S25 Ultra (i.e. below €1469).
Update — If Samsung did not want to reveal much about the Galaxy S25 Edge on stage, the very thin smartphone is physically present in the showroom of the event. Surprise: it only has 2 photo sensors, and not three according to the observation and photos of The Verge present on site. Moreover, we can guess it on the visual shared by the manufacturer.
