The APP France Identity also embeds SNCF transport securities

Since Monday, January 20, users of the France Identité app who travel by TGV Inoui have the opportunity to test a new function that will save them from having to show an ID and their ticket. They will only have to show the application, on which a QR code will be displayed that the controller will have to scan.

Don't forget to buy the ticket

This experiment will be particularly useful for holders of TGV Inoui subscriptions or an SNCF Voyageurs advantage card. To take advantage of it, a little configuration is necessary: tap the ID card then on the start the SNCF experiment button. The digital ID card (the one with an NFC chip) will need to be scanned, then the personal code will need to be entered.

Then, by sliding the ID card to the right on the app's home page (or by tapping the button at the bottom right), a QR code will appear that can be scanned by the on-board controller. This is a QR code developed specifically for this occasion, it is encrypted and contains the user's first name, last name and date of birth. This is the data that is transmitted when purchasing the TGV Inoui ticket.

Please note that this procedure does not exempt the traveler from purchasing a ticket, duly completed with the first name, last name and date of birth! A ticket that will in any case have to be presented at the access gates on the train access platform - let's hope that one day soon, all of this will be integrated into the single France Identité app.

France Identité specifies that this function will be tested for a few weeks, before being generalized to all users.
