We were hoping for it, it's now official: the new Model Y is coming to France. It is now possible to reserve the new version of Tesla's SUV, unveiled in China on January 9. This restyled Model Y stamped 2025 replaces the model launched in 2020 and which was a huge hit for Tesla. Indeed, in 2023, it climbed to the top spot of the best-selling cars in the world. A first for Tesla, but also a first for an electric car.
It is an understatement to say that this 2025 version, sometimes called "Juniper" was expected, as the model is so popular in France. But if this announcement puts an end to the suspense over the launch date, it could also disappoint somewhat. Indeed, for the moment, only one version, the Grande Autonomie with all-wheel drive, is available in France. The others, and in particular the one that is eligible for the bonus, should be marketed in the coming months.
The new features of the Tesla Model Y (2025)
However, we could not resist the curiosity to discover this new Model Y in real life. Of course, the differences with the previous version were known and we had detailed them in our article presenting the new Model Y (2025). But between a comparison based on two images and a real face-to-face, there is a world of difference.
We therefore discovered the new Tesla Model Y, in preview, before its marketing in France. From the new front end, to the evolved optical signature and a completely new interior, we were able to judge the changes announced by Tesla. The result? We give it to you in this video of our discovery of the Tesla Model Y (2025).
