Xbox has definitively abandoned the idea of exclusives and it is with actions that the firm provides proof of its claims. Microsoft has just announced that two huge games from Xbox studios will soon land on PlayStation consoles. These are Age of Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Traditionally associated with the Xbox ecosystem, these emblematic titles of real-time strategy are about to conquer a new audience on PS5.
For those unfamiliar with the title, Age of Mythology: Retold is a remastered version of the 2002 classic. The game is set to release on PS5 on March 4, 2025. This edition will include the Immortal Pillars expansion, enriching the base game experience with new content. Players can pre-order the game now on PlayStation Store, gaining early access to the game. and exclusive in-game content.
For its part, Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, known for its strategic depth and timeless gameplay, will be available on PS5 in spring 2025. We don't have a date to get our teeth into yet, but the World's Edge studio has confirmed its arrival. This version will offer content parity with other platforms and will support cross-play, allowing players from different platforms to compete or cooperate.

Other titles such as Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded have been available on PlayStation and Nintendo for almost a year now.
