It’s already pretty rare for PS5 games to end up coming to PC, but for them to be playable before they’re even announced for console is a miracle… or not. Earlier this week, a gang of hackers broke into Insomniac Games’ IT defenses and stole over a TB of data and 1.3 million files. Among them, revelations about the studio’s upcoming games, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, a SpiderVerse game, and Wolverine.
The latter was particularly targeted by hackers, who threatened to reveal everything about it if the sum of 50 bitcoins did not reach them within a week. What had to happen happened, and in addition to having leaked confidential information, the title is now playable by everyone. A few days ago, several rumors claimed that a PC build was running on the networks, without anyone ever getting their hands on it.
A user today reveals the truth and massively shares the codes that allow access to the game. He also publishes gameplay videos that could spoil or delight any fan of the franchise.
Semi-positive initial feedback
Although we won't share any stolen gameplay footage here, the videos have been circulating on social media for days now. So it's not uncommon to stumble upon them by chance. According to early player reviews, Wolverine resembles Marvel's Spider-Man in many ways, particularly in terms of dynamism and feel. This is not surprising considering that they both come from the same studio.
We can only recommend that you move on if you come across confidential, stolen images or even the codes to download the PC version of the game. While this is not only a legally reprehensible act, we also encourage you to show maximum respect for the work of the development teams by not succumbing to temptation. If you do not want to be spoiled, you can simply block certain words on the networks, in particular “Wolverine” or even “Insomniac leak”. For the brave, you will have to be patient before discovering official images of Wolverine on PS5.
