Windows Central reporter Jez Corden claims that Microsoft is working on a “cheaper, more affordable” plan for all gamers who want to enjoy cloud gaming without having to invest in a $17.99/month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
The shift to all-digital
Cloud gaming has always been a big part of Xbox. The feature was quickly tested by Microsoft, then added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, allowing subscribers to enjoy a huge catalog on PC, console or mobile. First called xCloud, then Xbox Cloud Gaming, it is an important part of the firm's offering.
The fact of wanting to put this aspect even more forward is not surprising. With its new formulas, Microsoft mainly disadvantages console players, increasing their formula by 36% while removing the possibility of playing Day One titles.
