Apple Arcade: six games announced, including a great exclusivity

Apple Arcade certainly isn't the most popular video game subscription service on the market. It's hard to compete with Sony and Microsoft's PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass. That doesn't mean Apple's service doesn't have any selling points.

The Cupertino company occasionally manages to stand out by securing quality exclusives like Outlanders 2. Apple Arcade has just pulled off a nice coup. The platform will welcome six new titles at the beginning of April, including the next game in the Katamari Damacy license exclusively.

Apple Arcade will welcome the new episode of the Katamari Damacy saga

Apple Arcade subscribers should not find time to be bored next month. The brand's service Apple will be hosting no fewer than six games on April 3: Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE, RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic+, The Game of Life 2, Sesame Street Mecha Builders, Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve, and puffies.

The biggest chunk of the selection is undoubtedly Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE. It is a new episode of the cult and very special license from Bandai Namco. You play as the Prince of All the Cosmos, a strange green man.

Your mission is to make the biggest pile possible by sticking objects with a sticky ball. The bigger your sticky ball gets, the bigger you can stick things, even to walls or buildings. Attaching parts of the scenery allows you to discover new environments.

«As players progress, fan commentary appears in the game, and the longer they play, the bigger their audience grows. By taking on the king's challenges and increasing their subscriber count, players can unlock new dynamic levels," explains Apple. Katamari Damacy Rolling LIVE is therefore an Apple Arcade exclusive. A great success for the American company.

The other notable game in this April batch is called Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve. This new installment in a legendary saga is still being developed by Taito Corporation. "As the game progresses, the game's retro aesthetic evolves into a sophisticated 3D shooter, unlocking increasingly powerful ships, including guest stars from TAITO classics like Darius, Night Striker, and RayStorm." This is sure to excite shooter fans.
