The year 2025 is particularly important for MGS fans, since the saga is finally returning to the forefront. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of the third episode released on PS2 in March 2005 (in Europe), is due out on August 28.
The release date remains to be confirmed since we only know it thanks to a leak from the PlayStation Store. No doubt that fans of Metal Gear Solid are also eagerly awaiting the new game from the creator of the saga, Hideo Kojima. The Japanese, at the head of Kojima Productions since his departure from Konami, is due to deliver Death Stranding 2: On The Beach in the coming months. The studio has just announced a panel dedicated to the game at SXSW 2025.
A round table dedicated to Death Stranding 2 at SXSW 2025
Kojima Productions announces the holding of a round table dedicated to Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with the presence of Hideo Kojima at SXSW 2025. You will have to connect on March 9th to 11pm to follow the event live. Kojima Productions will communicate the broadcast channels soon.
“During the special roundtable, Hideo Kojima will discuss and share new details on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, the upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed Death Stranding video game, which will arrive exclusively on PlayStation 5 later this year”, indicates the Japanese studio on its official website.
Players can expect to discover new images of the open-world game and why not, a new trailer. Indeed, Kojima Productions could take advantage of the opportunity to present a new trailer revealing the release date of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach... if it is not communicated at the State of Play on February 12 at 11 p.m.
Remember that this second opus is the direct sequel to the first released on PS4 in November 2018. We therefore find Sam Porter Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, in the main role. In Death Stranding, he was tasked with reconnecting the relay cities of the United States devastated by Death Stranding. Sam reprises his role in Hideo Kojima's new game.
