Initially expected for the GTC, then supposedly pushed back to the end of March, the first GeForce RTX 5060 Series would finally arrive around the middle of April. More precisely, NVIDIA could announce three new mid-range graphics cards on April 15: the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti in 8 GB and 16 GB versions, and the GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB. In any case, this is the date unofficially put forward by various partners of the manufacturer, which would therefore introduce the three models simultaneously to its catalog. The two RTX 5060 Tis are also expected to be released the following day, while the RTX 5060 will not be available on the market until May.
Higher-performing but slightly more demanding cards
Although they have not yet been officially confirmed by NVIDIA, several leaks on the websites of HP or the retailer Best Buy almost certainly show that these mid-range graphics cards have already started to be delivered to the manufacturer's OEM partners.
The exact specifications of these new GeForce RTX 50 Series are still rumored (rather insistent, it is true): we expect that both RTX 5060 Ti and the RTX 5060 will use GDDR7 memory at 28 Gbps on a 128-bit bus, which would bring the bandwidth to 448 GB/s. The frequencies of the GB206-300 graphics chipset of the Ti version would be very slightly higher than those of the RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB that they are supposed to replace, for a TDP of 15 watts higher. For its part, the RTX 5060 and its 3840 CUDA cores would be significantly more powerful than the RTX 4060, at the price of a much higher TDP. However, one major unknown remains: the price of these new Geforce RTX.
