God of War: The Amazon Prime series will have the right to at least two seasons

No, the God of War series on Amazon Prime has not been canceled. Although the situation isn't the most reassuring and the project seems to be experiencing quite a few difficulties, it seems to be moving in the right direction. But, the road will still be long and we will not have to wait for Kratos' adventures on the small screen right away.

God of War: the series still in progress

God of War: The Amazon Prime series will have the right to at least two seasons

While the license will celebrate its 20th anniversary this weekend, and the various Celebrations begin at PlayStation and Santa Monica, we learn that the Amazon Prime series that should adapt the games and the universe of God of War is still in production.

Remember, last October, the live-action series God of War was in difficulty, at a standstill, undergoing a partial reboot. We then learned that the series had found a new showrunner in the person of Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek...)

Recently, the director was invited to a show on Katee Sackhoff's YouTube channel. It was during this exchange that Ronald D. Moore confirmed that Amazon had ordered, for the moment, two seasons for the LIVE Action series.

The slightly less reassuring side is that Ronald D. Moore is not a gamer, nor a fan of God of War. The latter confided that he had tried to play the games recently, but that he quickly gave up due to his lack of experience with modern games and controllers, confiding that he was not a gamer. We hope despite that he will be able to properly identify and transcribe the soul, the atmosphere and the universe of the saga of Santa Monica Studio.

Let us remember all the same that the series God of War will be produced by PlayStation Productions with the involvement of Santa Monica Studio and notably Cory Barlog. For the moment, no release window and no concrete information have been shared.
