Oppo has just made official the arrival in Europe of the Reno 13, its new mid-range smartphones. They offer a nice design, a balanced technical sheet, a large battery and photo equipment that is not lacking in appeal. Calibrated to shake up Samsung's Galaxy A, they are sold between 329 euros and 799 euros. Here they are in detail.
Oppo's return to France is doubly good news. Firstly because the products are rather good. As proof, we have the Reno 12 Pro and the Find X8 Pro that we tested in 2024. They both received excellent ratings. Then because it always shakes up the established order on the French market. A market where Apple and Samsung leave little room for competition that is nevertheless very aggressive.

Today, Oppo presented several smartphones that show that the alternatives to Samsung and Apple are credible: this is the “Reno 13” series that the brand made official in China between November 2024 and January 2025. This series is made up of three models: the Reno 13 Pro, the Reno 13 and the Reno 13 F, the latter also available in an “FS” version with the only difference being the amount of RAM and storage. The prices of the Reno 13 range from 329 euros to 799 euros. Here are the prices of each model with the configuration:
- Reno 13 Pro: 799.90 euros with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage
- Reno 13: 599.90 euros with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
- Reno 13 FS: 399.90 euros with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage
- Reno 13 F: 329.90 euros with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage
The Reno 13 technical specifications are complete and balanced
This series therefore covers many market segments. It will compete with the Galaxy A as well as the Galaxy S24 FE from Samsung, the Magic7 Lite and the Honor 200 and 200 Pro, the Moto G and Edge from Motorola, the Redmi and Poco from Xiaomi or even the GT range from Realme, not to mention the very recent Pixel 9a and iPhone 16e from Google and Apple, respectively. This is not going to be easy. However, Oppo promises a balanced experience on all its smartphones. Here are the main elements of each technical sheet:

Among the big differences to note between the Reno 13 and the Reno 13 Pro, there is the screen, the RAM, the storage, the battery and the third photo module: the Reno 13 Pro benefits from a larger panel, twice as much storage and 50% more RAM, a more generous capacity and a telephoto lens. This is enough to justify, in part, the additional 200 euros. The concessions on the Reno 13 F / FS mainly concern the photo (selfie and main), as well as the materials of the frame and the shell, with however a small surprise: a military certification of durability. Note also the extension of the internal storage by microSD, which will be extremely practical for those who choose the version at 329 euros.
Oppo promises 5 years of Android updates on the Reno
All smartphones benefit from Android 15 and the latest version of ColorOS, stamped 15.0. This integrates the latest applications powered by artificial intelligence. This obviously includes the production of automated text (transcription, translation and summary), as well as generative image editing. Most of these tools work from the cloud. On the update side, Oppo promises 5 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches. This is very good news.
The Reno 13 and 13 Pro will be available from March 7, 2025, while the Reno 13 F and 13 FS will hit stores on March 14, 2025. During the first weeks of marketing, they benefit from several launch offers combining an immediate discount of between 30 and 150 euros depending on the chosen model and a free accessory (SuperVOOC charger or Enco Buds2 Pro headphones).
