Who here expected to be so enthusiastic about the announcement of a cleaning game? Clearly no one, but PowerWash Simulator 2 isn't like other games of the genre. Developed by FutureLab, the franchise puts you in control of a clean freak for whom high-pressure cleaning holds no secrets. The second installment has just been made official by the studio, which shares with us some of the new features we can find there.
The first question that comes to mind The spirit is as follows: “PowerWash Simulator 2, but why do it?“. Indeed, the first title in the license is still very active today, since it regularly adds DLC to its arc, and it is not that old. Released in 2022, it still does the job very well in terms of graphics and relevance, even if it is far from being the first quality that players are looking for.
The first trailer for PowerWash Simulator 2 answers our question by showing us several notable improvements. Players will be able to access a base that they can decorate as they wish between each mission in settings that are more original than the last. In addition to being even more beautiful, the game adds new environments to cleaning, soapy water with powers, but above all a new multiplayer mode!
Play two for the price of one game
It will indeed be possible to play in split screen in the brand new couch co-op mode that FutureLab has developed. You will only be able to buy one copy of the game to enjoy it with two players. It is far from the epic storyline of Split Fiction, but we must admit that a local co-op title is never refused. But overall, the principle and the objectives remain the same as before.
So here we go again Do we really need a PowerWash Simulator 2? Yes. It's even one of the titles we'll be most looking forward to this year. It will be released at a date yet unknown on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. There's no mention of the Nintendo Switch – or even its successor, which is coming in a few months. So, we don't know if the game will be compatible with Nintendo's platforms.
