In September 2021, while in full development of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games had already announced their next game with Marvel’s Wolverine. More than three years later (despite a big wave of leaks at the end of 2022), we have no news of the title that many hoped would arrive in 2025. Alas, we probably won't be able to count on it.
Wolverine not before 2026, at best?
A few hours ago, we learned of the departure of the retirement of iconic Insomniac Games CEO and founder Ted Price after more than 30 years at the helm of the company. It was on this occasion that Variety was able to speak with the studio's new leadership, now led by Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern and Jen Huang. The three men discussed the various projects and the current situation at Insomniac Games. And regarding the game Wolverine, well, there is simply nothing to say about it at the moment:
So we should clearly not expect this next title for 2025, and even for 2026, it is not certain that the studio is ready. This year, there is a good chance that all of Sony's resources will be mobilized on Ghost of Yotei, the next game from Sucker Punch already announced for 2025. Next year, everything suggests that it will be Naughty Dog and its new license Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet that will have its moment of glory. Logan could therefore arrive in 2027. Who knows, maybe as a launch game for the PS6?
