Motorola is working on a new line of Razr foldable smartphones, and leaks are starting to pour in regarding the Razr (2025). According to XpertPick, the Razr 60 promises notable changes compared to its predecessor. The new model will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 used in the 2024 version. RAM is increased to 12GB, compared to 8GB for the current model, while storage will expand to 512GB internally.
Surprisingly, Motorola seems to be opting for a slightly smaller 6.7-inch display, compared to the 6.9-inch one on the Razr 2024. Despite this reduction, the device is said to add a more powerful 4500mAh battery, up from the 4200mAh on the Razr 50. Fast charging remains at 30W, with the possibility wireless charging.
The Razr (2025), also called the Razr 60, will retain its 3.6-inch external screen and run Android 15 with the Hello UX interface and the Moto AI suite. photo, we can expect the presence of a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, an ultra-wide angle lens with macro function, and a 32 MP selfie camera.
The device, now IP48 certified, would also stand out for its new colors: "Gibraltar Sea" (dark blue with a nylon-like texture), "Pantone Lightest Sky" (light gray) and "Spring Bug" (bright green). The latter shade was recently spotted in the TENAA certification database.
The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will have an additional button
It is important to note that this smartphone does not have the additional button seen in leaks of another Razr 2025 model. This button would be reserved for the Razr 60 Ultra, also known as the Razr Plus (2025) in the United States. It would arrive in a new color called "Rio Red" with a leatherette covering, as well as in red, green, pink and even wood.
Rumors point to the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip inside the Razr 60 Ultra. A bit of a surprise from Motorola, which had favored the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Razr 50 Ultra, rather than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Regarding the release date, rumors suggest an earlier launch than usual. It could come as early as April 2025. This would mark a change from Motorola's usual schedule, which typically launches its new Razrs in June.
