Moving music in the IOS 18.4 control center

Moving music in the IOS 18.4 control center

With iOS 18, the iPhone's Control Center has undergone a revolution. The tool finally gives you the ability to customize the different previews and shortcuts, which allows you to always have them at hand, without having to launch a particular application. And with each iOS update, Apple adds new buttons.

The first beta of iOS 18.4 is no exception to the rule. It actually introduces four new "Background Music" buttons to launch as many different playlists: Rest, Wellness, Relaxation, and Productivity. These buttons can be placed in the Control Center or at the bottom of the Lock screen. Playlists play soothing or more rhythmic pieces to accompany the user in their daily lives.

The playlists in question are taken from Apple Music, so unfortunately you have to be a subscriber to the service to enjoy them. What is curious is that the audio player, to be displayed from the Dynamic Island, is independent of the Music app. It is impossible - for the moment at least - to access the artists or even the list itself. You can always skip to the next song and adjust the volume.

It is a shame that the customization is so limited: we would have liked to be able to choose other lists, or even, let's be crazy, another streaming service. Çthis will perhaps come in future betas.
