Nvidia lowers the prices of RTX 50s in Europe, but you still can't buy them

It has unfortunately become a habit: graphics cards launched with great fanfare by Nvidia disappear as if by magic in less time than it takes to say it. And when they reappear, it's at absolutely crazy prices. Tradition is unfortunately respected for the GeForce RTX 50, there is no more stock anywhere.

The price surprise

Despite everything, this shortage should not mask the good news. Nvidia has indeed lowered the MSRP (retail prices) in euros for its four new GPUs. The 5070 drops by 20 euros to 629 euros. The 5080 comes back at 1129 euros (-50 euros). Finally, the 5090 is now priced at 2239 euros, or 110 euros less. Only the 5070 Ti, which does not exist in Founders Edition, remains unchanged at 884 euros. Roughly speaking, the manufacturer is lowering its prices by 5%. Note that prices have also fallen in the same proportions in the United Kingdom.

It's not much, certainly, and it's not very useful given the real prices charged by resellers eager to play scalpers and easily inflate their margins! But it turns out that the euro has gained muscle against the dollar recently, and Nvidia has decided to reflect this new reality.
