Finally, on the official account, We Love Physical Media wrote: “Not a fan of Zegler or Gadot, but man... this is really good. I think this one is going to surprise people. It's in my Top 5 Disney live-action remakes. Go see it!”. Even Variety seems to have been seduced by the proposition. Katcy Stephan said on social media: “Rachel Zegler is a supernova. She embodies the grace, the tender nature of the original Disney princesses.” She adds that there is a love story, even though this part promised to be relegated to the background.
Unanimous reviews?
While enthusiasm is the order of the day for most of the spectators at this exceptional screening, not everyone agrees that Marc Webb's film is a resounding success. This is the case for Carl Kaka, who writes for the blog Future Force “Rachel Zegler is a bad Snow White, the changes to the story and lyrics are horrible, and some of the special effects aren't that special. The film doesn't work for me. A great shame.” We'll probably have to wait until Wednesday morning to discover the reviews of the film, which is expected to kick off the blockbuster season.
