After months of rumors, it's now official: the PS5 Pro exists and it will arrive on November 7 at the completely crazy price of 799.99 euros (for its All-Digital version, without the disc player, sold separately for the cursed sum of 120 euros). If you want to know everything about the features of the PS5 Pro, as well as the changes it will bring compared to the “Standard” PS5, don’t hesitate to consult our complete file right here.
Games optimized on PS5 Pro
This is clearly the most favorable argument that tries to justify the price exorbitant of this PS5 Pro. Now, Sony's console is powerful enough to offer native 4K at 60 FPS. Which is not the case on most games on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S currently. Consoles can offer 8K (for video experiences), 4K, 60FPS and even 120FPS, but most games cannot offer all of this at the same time.
Players must therefore often choose between a fidelity mode, which favors graphic quality, aiming for 4K but limited to 30FPS. Or, the performance mode, which favors fluidity with 60FPS, but with a resolution in 1080p or 1440p when you are lucky. With the PS5 Pro, the goal is to no longer offer players the choice and to offer an optimal experience in 4K and 60 FPS. Many games will therefore be optimized, with more or less improvements. Sony announces that around fifty games will be affected by this optimization when the console launches on November 7. As of today (September 11, 2024), here is the list of 13 confirmed games:
- Update November 6, 2024

Horizon Forbidden West, The Last Of Us Part.II Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be entitled to 4K and 60FPS with the aim of offering an ultra-smooth resolution. These same titles, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will benefit from an improved level of detail. For Horizon for example, it will be possible to benefit from improvements in lighting and visual effects, as well as hair and skin in cutscenes.
Sony specifies that the PS5 Pro is compatible with more than 8,500 PS5/PS4 games. For games that will not receive an optimization patch, the Japanese firm confirms that there will be a natural improvement brought by the power of the PS5 Pro which allows to stabilize or improve the performance of supported PS4 and PS5 games as well as an improvement in image quality and resolution for certain PS4 games.
