Resident Evil 5 Soon available in remaster on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?

Resident Evil 5 Soon available in remaster on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?

A few days ago, users stumbled upon an ESRB (the American rating registry, which is the equivalent of PEGI in France) sheet showing that Resident Evil 6 had just been re-rated for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. This type of process is generally mandatory for any publisher who wants to publish or re-publish a game.

Generally, these actions are not done for nothing and always announce an upcoming release of a title. A few hours ago, Resident Evil 5 was given its ESRB rating, suggesting that Capcom's game will also have the right to a re-release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Resident Evil 5 and 6 coming soon to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?

Resident Evil 5 Soon available in remaster on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?

In recent years, Capcom has distinguished itself by the release of excellent remakes, greatly reworked of the games Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4. In addition to the release of new unpublished opuses, such as Resident Evil VII and Resident Evil Village. While fans eagerly await the release of Resident Evil IX, which is still awaited, Capcom may be thinking of offering remastered to keep us waiting.

Although these are the opuses that are not the most appreciated, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 could be released in the coming weeks on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. After the ESRB sheet for RE6 in January, we have been able to discover that of RE5 for a few hours.

As with RE6, only the Xbox Series sheet seems to be available. And once again, it seems that it is only a port / remaster and not a remake like with Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4. It is of course certain that this port will also arrive on PS5. Regarding their official announcement and release, it could happen at any time.

Capcom being very busy with the promotion and release of Monster Hunter Worlds (for February 28th), there is a lot to bet that these Resident Evil remasters could be announced as early as next month.
