Beyond the usual batch of Galaxy S25s, Samsung wanted to make a splash at the start of the year with the Galaxy S25 Edge, a smartphone designed around the idea of thinness. In fact, the thickness of the device should fall below 6mm. But with the exception of a few images and a fortuitous presence in the aisles of the Unpacked event, Samsung has not revealed much more.
The technical sheet ahead of time
That's without counting the leaks, which we can trust to find out more. The YouTuber Alexis Garza got his hands on a model and of course took the opportunity to publish a hands-on. The video was deleted since unfortunately, but on the internet nothing is lost and screenshots allow you to get a little idea of the smartphone and especially, its technical specifications.
We therefore learn — or confirm — that the Galaxy S25 Edge runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite, like the other models in the family. It also has 12GB of RAM, again like the other Galaxy S25s, and 256GB of storage (it should be possible to purchase a 128GB version). Bluetooth 5.4 is included, as well as a 4000mAh battery (this is also the case for the standard Galaxy S25).
The AIDA64 application used here to list the technical characteristics announces 3 12 MP photo sensors (two on the back, one on the front). You should know that the app takes into account the resolution in which the images are recorded, and not the number of megapixels of the sensors. So it is possible that the main sensor is 50 or even 200 mpx, who knows.
The video also gives a little idea of the thickness of the smartphone, compared to a Galaxy Z Fold 6 (5.6 mm when unfolded). The Galaxy S25 Edge also seems thick. Maybe less? Maybe a little more? Hard to say. What this video doesn't tell us, unfortunately, is the release date! Samsung doesn't say anything to On this subject, it is possible that the manufacturer will wait until July and the presentation of its folding smartphones to reveal everything about the Edge.
