Could it be a matter of days (and maybe even hours) before the announcement of Starfield on PS5? After the arrival of Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush last year, Microsoft is preparing for launch Forza Horizon 5 on April 29th on PS5 and, according to recent rumors, Indiana Jones: And the Ancient Circle on April 17th on Sony's console.
For the past few weeks, rumors have been rife from the same insiders who confirmed the arrival of the first Xbox games on PlayStation. In addition to these six games, Xbox is already reportedly planning to port cult titles like Halo, Gears of War, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Hellblade II and... Starfield. The highly anticipated Fable is also already said to be in preparation for a release on PS5.
And apparently, the announcement of Starfield on PS5 would be very close since the console logo has just been found on the official mod site of the Bethesda game.
Starfield in 2025 on PS5?
In 2024, Phil Spencer didn't want to comment on the arrival of Starfield on PS5. But, he clearly wasn't closing the door. By early 2025, it seems we're very close to an upcoming announcement. Indeed, the official Creation Club website, dedicated to the mods that can be installed on the Bethesda game, it was possible to briefly see the PlayStation logo in the various descriptions of the game.
More precisely, it was on the page of the mod "WIP - Ship Decals" that we could see a logo and confirmation that the mod was available on PS5. The mention has of course since been removed.
So, a small mistake? Or a real announcement before time? Just a few days ago, Bethesda confirmed on Twitter that a big year 2025 awaited Starfield players with quite a few things and content to come. What if a PS5 version was part of the plans? The answer will probably come in the next few days!
