Stellar Blade: It's soon the end of the excluded PS5, the game arrives on PC in 2025

Before its release last April, Stellar Blade was more talked about for the physique of its main character, EVE, than for its combat system. The PS5 exclusive ultimately stood out for its exhilarating gameplay inspired by Souls and its captivating universe.

Shift Up and Sony can rub their hands in view of this critical and commercial success (one million sales in two months) which speaks volumes for a new license. Unfortunately, players who do not own a PS5 can only appreciate from afar the work done by the Korean studio on this first opus. Good news, the situation will soon change. Shift Up announces that Stellar Blade will indeed be released on PC in 2025.

Stellar Blade is coming to PC in 2025

In its document discussing its financial results for the third quarter of 2024, the studio Shift Up reveals that the release of Stellar Blade on PC "is envisaged for 2025". The Korean company does not give more details on the launch period of the game.

We imagine that it will not take place before April 2025 assuming that the exclusivity period Stellar Blade's temporary PS5 release is coming to an end a year after its release. Seeing the action game arrive on PC is no big surprise since it's the path many PS5 exclusives have taken in recent years. However, it's unclear whether Stellar Blade will eventually make its way to the Xbox Series.

Shift Up also says that sales of its first AAA title have stabilized in the third quarter. “With the addition of the Nier: Automata DLC and ongoing marketing activities, we expect to maintain the popularity of the property intellectual property,” says the studio.

Indeed, PS5 players will be able to dive back into the world of Stellar Blade from November 20th thanks to the collaboration with NieR: Automata. Émile, a cult character from Yoko Taro's license, will have his own store in the game. Émile's store makes its appearance in the world of Stellar Blade. You will also be able to have fun with the new photo mode and dress EVE with four new outfits. Remember that Sony and Shift Up, sued because of the name «Stellar Blade», are already working on a sequel.
