Stellar Blade: A trailer unveils a DLC and an outing window on PC

Several new games were announced during the State of Play on February 12. These included Saros, a new game from Housemarque, creators of Returnal, as well as the very ambitious Tides of Annihilation. As is often the case in these types of events, there were also some announcements of additional content for games already available on the market.

Stellar Blade was therefore entitled to a return to the forefront. After the Nier Automata expansion released at the end of last year, the action RPG will welcome new content linked to a TPS from the Korean studio Shift Up, called Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

A new expansion and a PC release period for Stellar Blade

The Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: NIKKE crossover was presented during the State of Play. Players will be able to tackle a brand new boss appearing briefly at the end of the trailer released by PlayStation. It seems that this opponent is none other than Mann (who strangely reminds us of Raiden from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance), who we meet during the adventure.

Of course, EVE will be able to dress up in several new costumes worn by the heroines of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE such as Alice, Scarlet or Rapi. For now, it is not known if this extension will include a new narrative arc. The Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: NIKKE add-on is still in development and will be released in June 2025 on PS5 and PC.

Yes, this trailer also reveals that Stellar Blade will be coming to PC this June. The game's Steam page does not yet include the minimum and recommended system requirements to enjoy Shift Up's action RPG. It also does not specify what specific features and optimizations will be included in this PC version.

«This will involve optimizing the game, improving its user comfort, adding additional content […]. In particular, we plan to optimize the game to ensure smooth gameplay, even on Steam Deck", the South Korean company specified in its recent financial report concerning its results for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Sony and Shift Up should not delay in discussing the PC version in more detail given that its launch is quite close. Stellar Blade, sold one million copies two months after its launch in April 2024, should be a great success on this medium. Shift Up even expects Stellar Blade sales on PC to surpass those of the PS5.
