The Ora saga exceeds 15 million copies sold. Where is Or 3?

In March 2015, Microsoft and Moon Studio partnered to release Ori and the Blind Forest, a new metroidvania franchise that immediately won over Xbox gamers. Five years later, the sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps in March 2020, managed to do even better and attract even more players. After a port to Switch and PC, we learned today that the license is a great success with 15 million games sold.

Ori is a success, what about the third opus?

The Ora saga exceeds 15 million copies sold. Where is Or 3?

It was on Twitter that Thomas Mahler, CEO of Moon Studios, confirmed the success of the Ori license, announcing that the milestone of 15 million games sold had just been reached.

A very nice success for, indeed, a genre of game less in vogue lately and for, on top of that, a new license from an independent studio. So, logically, we wonder when the studio will announce Ori 3? Alas, it won't be anytime soon. Indeed, last year, the studio's CEO already confirmed that all resources were now being placed on their new game.

Currently, the Austrian studio Moon Studio is in full production of No Rest for the Wicked which is available in early access. According to the latest statements from Thomas Mahler, this game should occupy the next 5 to 10 years for Moon Studio. So we shouldn't expect a potential Ori3 right away...
