The remake of The Elder Scrolls IV oblivion for the spring of 2025?

The remake of The Elder Scrolls IV oblivion for the spring of 2025?

Things are clearly buzzing around Microsoft regarding The Elder Scrolls license. Nearly seven years after the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI at E3 2018, and nearly 14 years after the release of the last installment, Skyrim, everything suggests that 2025 should be an incredible year for fans of the license.

As for the next title, it seems that Microsoft and Bethesda are preparing a communication for this summer. But before that, it could well be that the highly anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, which has been the talk of the town for a few weeks, will be announced in the coming days for a release scheduled for June!

Oblivion remake before June 2025?

The remake of The Elder Scrolls IV oblivion for the spring of 2025?

As always, it's on the insiders' side that we must look to have the right to little bits of information, or at least clues about the upcoming plans of different publishers and manufacturers. While the information is often not 100% accurate, it is very often roughly accurate, with two or three details (for the most reliable insiders of course).

Lately, two insiders have stood out, with eXtas1stv who confirmed a shower of information around the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 and even some plans from Microsoft. On the other hand, we have NateTheHate, who announced preview the Switch 2 presentation LIVE and the State of Play the week of February 14.

And indeed, it is NateTheHate who confirms on Twitter/X that a remake of Oblivion should be announced soon (by April) and that its release would already be planned before June 2025.

While an Internet user asks If NateTheHate has any information regarding the announcement of the The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion remake, the latter simply replies: "This month or next month. The release is probably earlier than the initial June target; we are still working on getting information on an updated release date."

Microsoft and Bethesda's plans have already changed (but for the better), and the Oblivion remake could therefore arrive very quickly, perhaps even as early as May. Of course, while we wait for official information from Microsoft, it's best not to get too excited. But things are starting to look good.
