It seems that Twitch and Microsoft share the same passion: that of independent games. This is why Microsoft has just announced the first showcase dedicated to independent video games in collaboration with Twitch. The showcase is called /twitchgaming Showcase: ID@Xbox, which therefore includes the two entities at the origin of the project. On the program, more than a hundred games will be presented as well as trailers and new gameplay for more than 25 of them. This will be the case for the games Second Extinction, The Ascent, The Wild at Heart, Voidtrain, Exo One, or even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.The event will present games already known as new titles that will be revealed especially for the occasion. These new games will then be released on Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft mentioned that the event will be presented by “community favorite streamers” without revealing their names. They will have the opportunity to answer questions from fans and talk to some of the developers behind the games. So it will be a rather interactive and lively event and not a series of trailers. Microsoft also teases small gifts that could be offered by developers, such as codes for certain games. We imagine that these codes will allow access to additional content such as limited edition cosmetic items. We do not yet know how long the event will last but it will take place on March 26 at 5 p.m. French time.
