Xbox's new Next-Gen controller is talking about her

Microsoft seems to be actively working on its new controller that should accompany the release of the Xbox Prime, the American company's Next-Gen Xbox. This Xbox controller codenamed "Sebile" first made headlines in September 2023, with the famous leaks of Microsoft documents.

According to the first rumors, this new controller was supposed to be released for spring 2024. Before being finally pushed back to become the Next-Gen controller that should be released at the same time as the next Xbox console. Today, we discover some additional details, once again thanks to l’insidereXtas1s.

Xbox's new Next-Gen controller is talking about her

A few hours after throwing more juicy new information, especially on The Elder Scrolls VI, the insider eXtas1s continues and tells us this time about the new Xbox controller which should arrive at the same time as the next Xbox Prime (expected for the end of 2026 according to the first rumors).

According to the insider, this new controller would have improved haptic feedback and close to that of a DualSense of the PS5. With this controller, Microsoft would abandon (finally) the famous batteries for a recharging system with an integrated battery. The controller could be in constant standby (and not have a power button) and would be activated by a simple gesture from the player.

Finally, eXtas1s confirms that the controller should be fully integrated into the ecosystem of the next Xbox which will exploit all of its capabilities. Like most Xbox peripherals, the controller should also be compatible with PC and Xbox Series X/S. The insider specifies that he was able to find references to this controller in Microsoft's XCloud files. However, the latter would not be planned for release soon and would indeed be the basic controller for the next generation of consoles at Microsoft.
