We mentioned this morning that leaker eXtas1s had teased that an announcement was in the works for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. There were plenty of signs that Night City would be coming to Nintendo Switch 2. This afternoon's big Nintendo Direct, dedicated to the Japanese giant's highly anticipated next console, was the perfect opportunity to officially confirm this.
Cyberpunk 2077 and its DLC will soon be coming to Nintendo Switch 2
In addition to finally showing us the Nintendo Switch 2 from every angle, announcing its price and release date, the Nintendo Direct dedicated to it was also an opportunity to reveal the catalog of games that will accompany its launch. CD Projekt RED's latest flagship franchise, Cyberpunk 2077, will therefore be joining the party. Like the PC and the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, this will be done through an Ultimate Edition, including the base game and its Phantom Liberty DLC.
Cyberpunk 2077 will indeed benefit from the Switch 2's more robust technical sheet to allow Nintendo fans to discover it. As a reminder, the console benefits in particular from a more robust technical sheet, capable of supporting games up to 4K at 120 images per second. This will allow the machine to display the CD Projekt RED title by offering a good compromise between graphic fidelity and fluidity.
The Ultimate Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 will therefore arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on the day of its release, June 5, 2025.
