Nine months after its theatrical release, Deadpool & Wolverine is available for streaming, much to the delight of Marvel fans.
Released in July 2024 in theaters, Deadpool & Wolverine was a huge success, grossing over $1.3 billion at the box office. That's almost twice as much as the first two films. Initially expected for December 2025 on streaming platforms, Shawn Levy's film is finally arriving much earlier than expected.
This is thanks to the new agreement between Disney+ and French cinema organizations. Announced in January 2025, this arrangement once again disrupts the media timeline in France. The waiting time for Disney+ subscribers after theatrical releases has been shortened by 8 months. It now drops to 9 months, instead of 17 months before the agreement.
Streaming Deadpool & Wolverine: watch exclusively on Disney+
Deadpool & Wolverine is therefore available for streaming only to Disney+ subscribers. It has been available since Friday, April 25, 2025. It is the first film to benefit from the new film release window on Disney+.
Deadpool & Wolverine extends the list of Disney+ exclusives, which includes many popular licenses (those from Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney Animation, to name a few). Note that the second and final season of the Andor series (Star Wars) has been broadcast on Disney+ since April 23, 2025.
The new series Tales of the Underworld, also derived from the Star Wars universe, can be found on Disney+ from May 4, 2025. A busy schedule for subscribers to the streaming platform, which is more attractive than ever in this very competitive market. As a reminder, Disney+ is available in France from €5.99 per month.
Deadpool & Wolverine: When Two Marvel Stars Meet
This film follows the same formula that made the first Deadpool movies a success: trashy humor, explosive, unfiltered action scenes... but it's above all the combination of the two iconic anti-heroes of the Marvel universe that gives this film its flavor.
Two Marvel stars played by two Hollywood stars. We find Ryan Reynolds in the Deadpool costume and Hugh Jackman in that of Wolverine, a character we haven't seen since the film Logan, released in 2017.
