This car combines elegant, timeless design with cutting-edge intelligent technologies. The Z9GT is designed to redefine customer expectations for performance, range, and comfort.
A design inspired by the fluidity of silk
Designed under the direction of Wolfgang Egger, the Z9GT is distinguished by its golden proportions, a balance between elegance and dynamism. The front end is simple yet powerful, while the sides feature a smooth waistline inspired by silk. At the rear, the muscular shape emphasizes the vehicle's width and stability, with hourglass-shaped taillights creating a visual link with the front end.
The Z9GT's cabin offers a spaciousness comparable to that of a limousine, with premium finishes such as leather and lightly smoked wood. The front seats are 12-way adjustable with massage and ventilation, while the rear seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The car also features a 17.3-inch central display and a 20-speaker DEVIALET audio system for an immersive experience. This display is complemented by an additional 13.2-inch ultra-wide screen that allows the front passenger to interact with the car.
Also note that the cabin is also equipped with a refrigerated compartment that can cool its contents down to -6°C, a four-zone fresh air system and a 2.1 m² panoramic glass roof, equipped with a sunshade.
At the heart of the Z9GT is the e³ platform, exclusive to DENZA. It offers unique features, including a three-motor independent drivetrain and two-motor independent rear-wheel steering. This platform allows for precise control of vehicle movements and offers enhanced safety thanks to its ability to react quickly to critical situations.
Performance and Safety
The electric version of the Z9GT can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately three seconds, its front motor produces 230 kW, and each of its rear motors can reach speeds of up to 21,000 rpm and has a peak power of 240 kW, while the Super DM hybrid edition offers a maximum power of 200 kW (maximum torque of 315 Nm and a top speed of 20,000 rpm). Dual-motor rear-wheel steering provides exceptional maneuverability and a tight turning circle of just 4.62 meters!
The two motors in question here are steering motors—one for each of the rear wheels—and they are controlled by the vehicle's motion controller to allow the right and left rear wheels to steer independently of the front axle and each other. This in-house developed system unique to DENZA offers a multitude of benefits, including incredible maneuverability for a 5.2-meter-long vehicle, increased stability when cornering, changing lanes, and braking, as well as parking techniques.
Rear-wheel operation can be summarized in three situations:
- Steering in the same direction: Both rear wheels turn in the same direction at the same time. When the driver locks the steering, the rear wheels can move together but in the opposite direction to the front wheels, creating a reverse angle that significantly reduces the turning radius. They can achieve positive and negative angles of 10°. If necessary, the rear wheels can turn to match the angle of the front wheels, allowing a crab steering function that works up to an angle of 15°, an industry record.
- Toe-in rotation: Both wheels turn towards the center of the vehicle. This improves stability, especially during braking, when the system can adopt the toe-out rotation to resist lateral disturbances.
- Toe-out rotation: Both wheels pivot away from the center of the vehicle. When the Z9GT is faced with tight parking or narrow parallel parking situations, the differential control of the rear wheels in this configuration allows them to pivot around the front axle. It is this configuration that gives the Z9GT an incredibly tight minimum turning circle of just 4.62 meters, less than many A-segment city cars.
The Z9GT arrives in Europe in the last quarter of 2025, with specific improvements for European customers. DENZA is preparing to launch an initial range of three models in Europe, with the Z9GT as the flagship. In China, it is available from 334,800 yuan (around €46,000), and prices can go up to around €53,000 for the highest-end versions.
