We already told you about it in the list of the most stylish outfits from Dragon Ball and we did it: here are the 10 most iconic Bulma outfits! It wasn't easy to do given the richness of the character's wardrobe, but we managed to make a very satisfying selection.
#1 Bulma's first outfit
A character's first appearance is very important. In Dragon Ball, Bulma has made an incredible entrance with her outfit. From the very beginning, she displays a strong taste for fashion, being dressed with great care for her quest for the Dragon Balls. Her pink dress has thus become as legendary as her encounter with Goku.
#2 The winter outfit in the film The Red Ribbon Army
In the film celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Dragon Ball anime, Bulma has dressed up to the nines. The young woman wears superb outfits, including a yellowish variation of her first clothes. However, it's her winter outfit, with her brown jacket and her leg bag, that catches our attention. This time, these are clothes totally suited to adventure, and they suit her wonderfully.
#3 The Bunny Costume
Bulma was the target of several dirty jokes during the first moments of Dragon Ball. One of them concerns the famous bunny costume. Referring to Playboy, the outfit is given to Bulma by Oolong, who didn't bother to wash the young woman's clothes. Ultimately, this costume proves useful, since we discover that the bunny gang is active in the village where our heroes are. Despite the lightness of the outfit, it must still be admitted that it remains iconic.
#4 The Oriental Outfit
Luckily for Goku's friend, the rabbit costume disappears as quickly as it appeared. Bulma will replace it with an oriental-inspired outfit that is perfectly in keeping with the village where the team is located. Here again, we can talk about a cult outfit, so much so that it is visible in the opening of Dragon Ball.
#5 The summer outfit in the film The Mercenaries of Space
In the feature film where Bojack makes his appearance, Bulma is a young mother. We see her carrying Trunks, dressed in a very attractive yellow summer outfit. The particularly appreciable touch is the forehead protector which brings a breath of fresh air to her look. We should also note the pearl necklace, which is reminiscent of the one she wore at the end of Dragon Ball Z.
#6 The "Wild Rider" costume
As you already know, Akira Toriyama loved drawing his characters in outfits different from the ones they usually wear. Bulma was no exception, as evidenced by this biker outfit. It gives her a wild, post-apocalyptic side that you wouldn't suspect in her. In any case, this illustration caused a sensation, as it was adapted into an anime in the ending of Dragon Ball.
#7 The Astronaut Suit
The Namek arc was very complicated sartorially speaking for Bulma. The outfit she wears isn't the one that shows her off the most. However, Capsule Corp's astronaut suit was promising. Akira Toriyama shows here once again that he is unbeatable when it comes to design.
#8 The Turtle School Gi
Yes, Bulma has already worn the famous Dragon Ball Gi. She doesn't wear it in the manga or the anime, but in one of the first guide books. On this double page, we can see Bulma in different outfits imagined by her companions according to how they would like to see her dressed. In Goku's case, he would like to see her wearing the Turtle School Gi. Seeing this illustration, we can't help but wonder how far Bulma could have gone if she had trained.
