Daima had the effect of a refreshing tidal wave on the Dragon Ball universe. The last anime to feature Akira Toriyama expanded the lore, answered decades-old questions, formalized a cult transformation, and created a long-awaited transformation. Only good things on the scoreboard for Dragon Ball Daima, which also repairs this three-decade-old error from Dragon Ball Z.

An error on Super Boo's eyes

It is without a doubt the Dragon Ball anime that will have left the biggest mark on fans of the franchise, Dragon Ball Z will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. A cult anime whose sagas continue to bring back memories to his most loyal fans. It's hard to forget the first viewings of Vegera's sacrifice against Boo, Goku's very first transformation into a Super Saiyan, the duel between Trunks and Freezer, or even Vegeta's cult classic "It's over 9000". Scenes that shaped both the Dragon Ball universe and Pop Culture as a whole.

Although Dragon Ball Z remains a memorable work, its anime adaptation still had a host of errors of all kinds. Animation errors were legion, especially in the 80s and 90s. Today, errors are quickly corrected, an easier correction than in the past. And in the case of Dragon Ball Z, one error was finally corrected by Daima, nearly three decades later. This error is the color of Super Boo's eyes.

While in Dragon Ball Z, Super Boo is visible with white eyes, his eyes appear red in Dragon Ball Daima. It's not Daima who is in the red this time, but rather Dragon Ball Z. As for Boo, the antagonist of Dragon Ball Z, he goes through a series of forms. However, not all of them have the same eye color. Majin Boo (good) and Majin Boo (purely evil) have white eyes, while Super Boo is supposed to have red eyes. But that's on paper. In reality, mistakes are made, and Super Boo ends up with white eyes in the anime adaptation of Dragon Ball Z. The anime ends up correcting this error when Gotenks punches Boo in the face. His eyes then turn from white to red, a way for the anime to correct this error as best it can.

But in Daima, no mistake. The latest Dragon Ball anime revisits iconic moments from the franchise, and briefly recaps the Boo Saga from Dragon Ball Z. It features the confrontation between Gotenks and Boo. And unlike Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Daima reveals a red-eyed Super Boo from his first seconds on screen. A correction that many viewers were unaware of, but which undoubtedly raised eyebrows among many Dragon Ball fans. Despite its easily anticipated plot, Dragon Ball Daima took the time to correct some forgotten aspects of Dragon Ball, generally several decades old.
