The Nintendo Switch 2 presentation finally took place during a highly anticipated Nintendo Direct. Beyond the many details revealed about the console, the event also provided an opportunity to learn more about upcoming games. In the middle of all this, a big surprise: Duskbloods, the new creation from FromSoftware, that no one was expecting.

To our surprise, we were able to discover Duskbloods, a new creation from FromSoftware with strong hints of Bloodborne but also of Castlevania. Clearly enough to tickle the hearts of fans. No one had really expected to see a game from the Japanese studio during the presentation of the Nintendo Switch 2, much less to learn that it would be a total exclusive to Nintendo's new console.
Among fans, disappointment at not getting Bloodborne quickly mixed with curiosity. The visual style of Duskbloods, while different, seems to borrow some elements from the dark and grimy aesthetic of the famous PS4 game. This nod only fuels further discussion: some see it as a spiritual successor, others as a deliberate distancing. One thing is certain: FromSoftware has managed to capture attention, even without directly touching on one of its most cult licenses. According to available information, Duskbloods would be a PvPvE (player versus player versus environment) game directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the famous creator of Bloodborne himself.
Planned for release in 2026, this game exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 seems to promise an immersive and demanding experience, faithful to the reputation of the Japanese studio
