Elden Ring Nightreign: a new leak reveals two surprises in advance

FromSoftware hasn't been idle since the release of Elden Ring, and the studio is churning out games at breakneck speed. Armored Core 6 in 2023, a DLC for Elden Ring in 2024, and soon a spin-off, Elden Ring Nightreign, not to mention Duskblood, which is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2. A sustained pace that the studio seems to be handling without too much difficulty for the moment. Its next big release, Nightreign, will however be less substantial than the original game. This is an experience entirely tailored for multiplayer where Players embody predefined characters in particularly intense quick games. While the game has already revealed a lot and even hinted at, a leak has now revealed two great surprises that have yet to be revealed.

A new leak of Elden Ring Nightreign lifts the veil on two surprises in advance

Clearly there will be at least eight playable classes in Elden Ring Nightreign. So far we knew the Forban, an imposing warrior, the Piercing Eye, an elite archer, the Ranger, who lives up to his name, the Guardian, a real tank, the Anachrorite, a formidable magician, and the Duchess, an expert experienced in combat.

Two new classes, however, seem to be kept secret for the moment: the Revenant and the Executor. These were discovered by Reddit users via the official X account of Meetoma, a derivative product reseller. The latter revealed, perhaps a little too eagerly, some Elden Ring Nightreign goodies. A collection of keychains that represent several emotes from the game but also eight classes, including the two new ones.

Two new classes for two new ways to play, the gameplay promises to be generous

We don't know anything more about the Revenant and the Executor at the moment. The artwork for the revenant shows a pale woman equipped with a harp. Perhaps a new magician, certainly a support one that we can imagine casting support spells or control spells, for example. The Executor, meanwhile, seems to be a new class dedicated to dealing damage. His armor seems particularly tailored for aggressive gameplay.

Bandai and FromSoftware should certainly reveal its full nature to us in the coming weeks, especially since at the moment, the publisher and the studio regularly publish presentation videos for each playable class. So, we'll see. As a reminder, Elden Ring Nightreign will be released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC on May 30.
