Elden Ring: Nightreign continues to reveal itself little by little. After several gameplay videos in recent weeks, a new playable character has just been presented in an impressive trailer. A new opportunity to dive into the dark and intense atmosphere of the spin-off.
A new character appears on Elden Ring: Nightreign
Indeed, the multiplayer spin-off of Elden Ring continues to reveal itself in terms of gameplay. Entitled Nightreign, this new project by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco surprises as much as it intrigues. Scheduled for May 30, 2025, the title abandons the purely single-player formula of the original game to offer a PvPvE roguelike approach, with several playable characters. And indeed, a new video reveals one of them: Recluse.
In this new Elden Ring trailer, we discover a character specializing in arcane magic, with spectacular and visually striking attacks. Recluse seems cut out for players who like to keep their distance, control space, and take down their opponents. All with the help of powerful spells. Its gestures, gothic appearance, and complex incantations give a first glimpse of Nightreign's very dark tone.
Elden Ring: Nightreign breaks with the studio's habits by offering a game designed around multiplayer, mixing human players and AI-controlled enemies in the same environment. This PvPvE with a FromSoftware twist could well be the big new thing this year for fans of online challenges.
Finally, the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Good news: it will be cross-gen, which will bring communities together without platform restrictions. And that's not all: DLC has already been announced for the end of the year, including new playable characters and new bosses. FromSoftware seems to be banking on regular follow-up, just like what has already been Made with Elden Ring.
