Epic Games Store: A great free game with lots of gifts

Epic Games Store: A great free game with lots of gifts

Today at 5 PM and until April 17, the Epic Games Store is hitting hard with a new free game and plenty of bonus free content for no less than two games. Unfortunately, this means that the much-loved Cat Quest 2 will have to go and sharpen its claws elsewhere. However, we're staying somewhat on the cute theme with the solid title that replaces it and which smells good of retro gaming, for fans.

A free retro-style game and gifts for two other games on the Epic Games Store

If you're nostalgic for the 2D beat 'em ups at Like Streets of Rage, the free game available this week on the Epic Games Store should please you. It's River City Girls, developed by WayForward, published by Arc System Works and released in 2019. Gangs and corrupt police forces are rife in River City and have kidnapped Misako and Kyoko's boyfriends. In control of these very angry students, you will beat up bad guys by the bucketload, both solo and in co-op, in a graphic style quite close to the pleasant Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. You can get it for free via this page.

In addition to this new free game available until April 17 at 5 p.m., the Epic Games Store is rounding out the offer with additional free content for two other games. Starting with Arcadegeddon, a game mixing arcade, roguelike, and cooperative first-person shooter. By adding it to your library, you will receive 5,000 ARCoins for free, which you can use to: unlock various cosmetic items in the Gilly's Arcade, by going to this page.

The other gift offered by the Epic Games Store concerns Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, a free-to-play strategic management game in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. By adding it to your library, you can get free additional content related to the legendary Baldur's Gate 3 in the form of the iconic characters from Larian Studios' masterpiece, by going to this page.

While waiting for the free games coming next week

All of this can be claimed for free from 5 p.m. until April 17, also at 5 p.m. At that point, it will be time for the traditional weekly rotation on the Epic Games Store. These are not yet known, but we will be sure to keep you informed when this is the case.
