But in France, an indomitable internet service provider is looking to limit the damage to attract more and more loyal subscribers. Free then announced that the standard subscription with advertising would remain included at no extra cost in the Freebox Ultra subscription, despite the increase implemented by the red N.
And since good news never comes alone, the telecommunications giant has decided to add another major platform to its arsenal. Whether you subscribe to a Freebox Pop or Freebox Ultra plan, Free invites you to enjoy the Disney+ catalog without having to pay anything. Yes, you read that right, the Mickey Mouse streaming service is now included with the Freebox, but one of the plans is obviously better off than the other.
Disney+ free until further notice with the Freebox Ultra
A gamble from Free, which has added a major selling point to its Freebox Ultra plan. This subscription, billed at €59.99 per month (€49.99 for one year), already offers Netflix and Prime Video alongside its other premium services and features, but Disney+ is now added to the rest of the benefits.
This is a standard Disney+ subscription with ads, usually billed at €5.99 per month. All existing Freebox Ultra subscribers as well as new subscribers can already access the platform at no extra cost. Free's premium plan therefore allows you to benefit from three major streaming platforms, the simultaneous subscription of which outside of the offer would normally cost a little over €20. per month.
A discovery offer on the Freebox Pop
On the Freebox Pop side, subscribers can already go to their customer area to take advantage of 3 months of free access to Disney+. To do this, simply subscribe to a standard Disney+ subscription with advertising via Free services. The offer allows access to the platform's entire catalog, in HD (but with some advertising), with the possibility of enjoying the service on two screens simultaneously. Please note: the subscription will be automatically renewed after the 3-month trial period, for an additional €5.99 on your monthly internet bill. Remember that the Disney+ subscription is non-binding and can therefore be canceled at any time. Your access to the platform will then be withdrawn once the three months have passed.
