After the successful release of the Pixel 9a, Google is now looking ahead to its next big launch, the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold. A few rumors already give us a clear idea of what to expect. We will, of course, update this article as more are revealed.
Design: we're taking the same old stuff and starting again
We'll start with the design. As usual, leaker OnLeaks has already revealed what the future look of the smartphones should be. So below, in that order, we have the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
You'd have to be dishonest not to say that the four designs are frankly excessively similar to the Pixel 9. The Pixel 10 is undoubtedly the most interesting of the three since it reveals at least one major new feature: the integration of a telephoto lens. Unfortunately, at this stage, no reliable information has been leaked about the Pixel 10's camera setup. We can hope that if the base model gets a telephoto lens, the Pro models will benefit from a significant hardware upgrade.
As for the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, there's nothing new to report, at least nothing that's immediately obvious. Google has apparently opted for the safety of continuity. In this image, the edges around the camera hole appear thinner, which gives the device an even more finished and premium look, but it could also be a very slight approximation of the 3D model used.
As for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, what can we say except that it would look like a Pixel 9 Pro Fold with a mustache. The only notable difference: the edges would go from a matte coating to a metallic coating. This will give a slightly more bling bling look for some, but also a more premium look for others.
All smartphones would retain their previous dimensions. We would therefore find the two Pixel 10 and 10 Pro in 6.3-inch format and a Pixel 10 Pro XL with a large 6.8-inch screen.
Power: we are waiting for the Tensor G5
For several years, this change has been announced and here it is: Google is changing foundry for its in-house chips. If it previously went through Samsung Foundry, the Mountain View giant would now turn to the champion of the sector, TSMC. The opportunity for the Tensor G5, the chip that should be in each of these smartphones, to switch to the N3E engraving process, namely a 3 nm process. Google would therefore finally be in the league of the big players in terms of performance.
Finally, this remains to be proven in practice of course. Early leaks about the chip's architecture suggest that Google has opted for a conservative approach. It could use the Cortex X4, the most powerful ARM core, already used in the Pixel 9's Tensor G4.
Pixel 10 Price and Availability
No pricing information has been leaked yet. We can therefore only base our guess on the Pixel 9's asking prices at launch. Here they are:
- Pixel 9: 899 euros;
- Pixel 9 Pro: 1099 euros;
- Pixel 9 Pro XL: 1199 euros;
- Pixel 9 Pro Fold:
The same goes for the release window. Last year, Google officially unveiled the Pixel 9 in August 2024. It wouldn't be surprising if the company did the same this summer of 2025.
This article will be updated as leaks and official announcements regarding the Pixel 10 are made.
