Since its announcement six years ago, Hollow Knight Silksong has been the stuff of dreams for fans, and unfortunately, they have nothing left to get their teeth into since the game hasn't been shown for a while. Aside from brief appearances during the last Nintendo Directs, for example, the game, as anticipated as it may be, hasn't shown any signs of life for a long time. We're still waiting for a real demonstration, a real event. As a result, fans are clinging to everything and nothing. A few screenshots here, some unpublished images there... not long ago, it was an update on Steam that lit the fuse. What if something was in the works?
Finally an announcement around Hollow Knight Silksong? When an update sows doubt...
Sometimes it only takes a little to set social media ablaze, and that's exactly what happened when some smart alecks discovered that the Hollow Knight Silksong trailer had simply disappeared. This isn't a trivial maneuver since it's generally carried out before the arrival of a new video and therefore an announcement. What if Hollow Knight Silksong gave us a The Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered? A "surprise" announcement, maybe even a shadowdrop (a surprise launch)? That's what fans were hoping for, but unfortunately not. Hollow Knight Silksong has nothing planned if we are to believe one of the developers who responded to this on social networks. The disappearance of the trailer was obviously just a common bug, especially since it has since returned.
Another false hope for fans who will have to wait once again. Hollow Knight Silksong is seriously starting to have a monstrous pressure on its shoulders as it is now extremely anticipated and in the spotlight.
As of this writing, Hollow Knight Silksong is expected on PS5, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch. Its presence on Nintendo Switch 2 was also confirmed during Nintendo's latest direct. Unfortunately, no release date was given, but the studio keeps confirming that it should be released this year.
